Knowledge Base

Got questions? We've got answers.

Everything you need to know about our products, ordering, shipping, and services — from the manufacturer.

Products & Usage

What's the most versatile product you make?

El-Bo Grez is our most versatile product and all-time best seller. It's a heavy-duty degreaser concentrate that cleans virtually anything — floors, saw blades, smoke filters, shower stalls, apple waxing equipment, and more. It can be diluted for light cleaning or used full strength for heavy buildup.

What's the difference between Pro Strength and Acclaim?

Both are hard water removers. Pro Strength is a more aggressive formula with a proprietary ingredient — best for heavy deposits on shower doors and commercial kitchens. Acclaim is gentler, better for regular maintenance. If the buildup is bad, start with Pro Strength. For upkeep, use Acclaim.

What dilution ratio should I use?

Dilution ratios vary by product and application. Every product label includes recommended ratios. Light cleaning = higher dilution (more water). Heavy-duty = lower dilution or full strength. Check the product page or SDS for specifics. If unsure, contact us.

Is Pro Strength safe on granite or natural stone?

No. Pro Strength contains acids that can etch natural stone surfaces like granite, marble, and travertine. Do not use Pro Strength on natural stone. Contact us for a safer alternative for your specific surface.

What product removes baked-on grease from restaurant hoods?

Big Brute Powder is formulated specifically for restaurant stove hoods. If you're cooking with lard, this is the product. For lighter grease, Big Brute Liquid or El-Bo Grez work great.

Do you make products for the lumber/sawmill industry?

Yes — Blade Clean removes resin and pitch from saw blades. Clear Lube #1 is a saw blade and finger joint head lubricant. We've been serving NW sawmills for decades.

Do your products contain harsh chemicals?

Our line ranges from mild hand cleaners to heavy-duty industrial acids. Every product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) detailing ingredients and safety precautions. Download any SDS from our SDS Library.

Can you recommend a product for my specific cleaning problem?

Absolutely. Tell us what you're trying to clean, the surface, and any constraints. Call (800) 635-8930 or send us a message. We've been solving custom cleaning problems since 1968.

Ordering & Pricing

Do you sell direct to consumers?

Yes. Our entire product line is available for individual purchase at technichemcorp.com. No minimum order for online purchases.

What's the minimum order for volume pricing?

Volume discounts start at 12 units (case quantity) with 10–15% off. Pallet quantities (48+) save 15–25%. Drums and totes get our best per-unit pricing. Request a quote for specifics.

Do you accept purchase orders (POs)?

Yes, from established commercial accounts. Contact us to set up a commercial account with PO terms.

Do you offer net 30 terms?

We offer net terms to qualified commercial accounts after credit review. Contact our B2B team to discuss.

Can I set up recurring orders?

Yes. We can set up monthly, quarterly, or custom schedules at your locked-in volume price. Request a quote and mention recurring delivery.

What's your return policy?

We stand behind every product. If it doesn't perform as expected, we'll troubleshoot, replace, or refund. See our full Return & Refund Policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

Online: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay. B2B: purchase orders, wire transfer, ACH.

Shipping & Delivery

How does shipping work?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Hazmat and oversized shipments ship by freight at additional cost. For bulk or freight quotes, contact us at (800) 635-8930.

Do you ship hazardous materials?

Yes, with restrictions. Hazmat products ship via truck freight (not ground parcel). We handle all labeling and documentation. Contact us for hazmat shipping details.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

Yes. Shipping to AK and HI is calculated by destination. Contact us for a shipping quote to your address.

How long does shipping take?

We ship from Rupert, Idaho. Idaho/NW: 1–3 days. West Coast: 3–5 days. Mountain/Central: 3–5 days. East Coast: 5–7 days. Processing: 1–2 business days.

Why is shipping from Idaho an advantage?

Chemical products are heavy. Shipping from Idaho instead of the East Coast saves NW customers significantly on freight — especially for drums, totes, and pallets.

Can you ship directly to my customer (drop shipping)?

Yes. For white label and private label customers, we ship directly to your customers with your branding.

I received a damaged shipment. What do I do?

Contact us immediately at (800) 635-8930 with photos. We'll replace or refund. For chemical spills, refer to the product's SDS for cleanup procedures.

B2B & Services

Can you put my label on your products (white label)?

Yes. Choose from 100+ formulas — we manufacture, package, and label under your brand with compliant SDS. See our White Label page.

Can you blend my formula in your facility (toll blending)?

Yes. Your IP is protected under confidentiality agreements. We manufacture at our Rupert facility. See our Services page.

Can you develop a custom formula for my specific need?

Absolutely — this is how Technichem was built. Several products were created because a customer had a problem nobody else could solve. See our Services page.

How do I become a distributor or reseller?

Contact our partnership team with info about your business, territory, and customer types.

What's your affiliate program?

We offer 5% commission on every sale referred. Visit our Affiliate Program page for details.

Who owns Technichem?

Founded in 1968 by Jack P. Rencher, built by his son Brian Rencher. When Brian retired, he chose Land View, Inc. as a partner to preserve the formulas. Read our About page.

Safety & Compliance

Where can I find Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?

Every SDS is available for instant download at our SDS Library. No account required. These are manufacturer-issued documents.

Are your SDSs from the manufacturer?

Yes. Every SDS is prepared by Technichem — the actual manufacturer. These are not third-party copies and are always the most current revision.

Can I get SDSs in bulk for my compliance binder?

Yes. Contact us and we'll send a complete package for every product you carry. Call (800) 635-8930 or email info@technichemcorp.com.

What does "Hazardous, please contact us to order" mean?

These products are classified as hazardous under DOT regulations. They require special shipping, documentation, and cannot be purchased through standard checkout. Call (800) 635-8930.

What happened to MSDS? Why do you call them SDS now?

In 2012, OSHA adopted the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). The old MSDS format was replaced by the standardized 16-section SDS format. All Technichem SDSs use the current GHS format.
